An overview of the field of interior design, this course will show you the methods used to create a room that is physically, visually and intellectually satisfying. Instruction includes basic principles of space planning, drafting, Interior Design Software, color theory, and materials and finishes. Students work toward creating a floorplan, elevations, and an idea board for a residential room. Enrollment is limited to 8 students. A list of supplies that are suggested for this course are listed below.

- Several Sheets of 8 ½ x 11 OR 11x17 Vellum Paper
- “Trash Paper” Roll Or Trace Paper
- Drafting Pencil and Lead
- Architectural Drafting Scale/Ruler
- 24” Straight Edge Metal Ruler
- X - acto Knife and Blades

- 20 x 30 Black or White Foam Core
- Rubber Cement
- Mounting Tape
