


STILL LIFE OIL PAINTING
Online with Live Instructor over Zoom
Students will create a composition of inanimate objects and learn to draw and paint the image onto a flat canvas or board. The course assumes no prior oil painting knowledge or experience, and proceeds sequentially, each lesson building upon what was presented previously.

-Oil Paints (Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow, Yellow Ochre, Viridian Green, Ultramarine Blue, Quinacridone Violet, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna, Raw Umber, Ivory Black, Payne’s Grey, LARGE TUBE of Titanium White)
-Hog Bristle Brushes (Various sizes of Flat, Round and Filbert)
-Odorless Mineral Spirits
-Winsor & Newton brand “Liquin Original” (or REFINED linseed oil)
- Pallet Paper Pad
-Optional; a Covered Pallet (large enough to fit your pallet paper inside, such as Sta-Wet Brand covered pallet )
-Trowel Shaped Pallet Knife
- Painters’ Masking Tape
-Canvas Paper Pad (11”x14” or Larger)
-2 Stretched Canvases or Canvas Panels (16”x20” or Larger)
-1 or 2 Glass containers with lids for solvents/mediums
-Rags
-18” Ruler or Straight Edge
-Pencils and Erasers
-Sketch pad
-Ridged Substrate (such as thick cardboard, foam board or masonite- 16”x20” or large enough to fit your canvas paper onto)
-Brush Cleaner (Liquid or Bar)
-Gloves/Barrier Cream
