Entertainment Arts Online Intensive July 13-17, 2020
Explore the world of creating characters, their stories and environments by acquiring the technical and conceptual skills to bring your ideas to life. Whether you love animation, digital film or video games, storytellers alike will come together and create Entertainment Arts work for their portfolio.
THIS IS A GOOD CONCENTRATION IF YOU: Play video games. Visualize the look of characters and settings when reading. Daydream in full color and three dimensions.
This one week course that will help you explore the exciting field of Entertainment Arts. In this course, you will:
- Develop design and drawing skills
- Create work for your college admissions portfolio
- Meet experienced industry professionals
- Learn under the direction of CCS Entertainment Arts faculty
The Entertainment Arts Online Intensive instructor will be Michael Winn, CCS Entertainment Arts Adjunct Faculty. Michael Winn is an independent animator and character designer who owns and operates Alpha Omega Animation Design Studio and has worked on numerous projects locally and internationally.
Each morning and afternoon, classes will connect via Zoom sessions that will be used for small-group live video chats, demos, and lectures that teach industry drawing techniques. You will work on assignments independently, develop your visual vocabulary, and create portfolio-quality work. You will also have a one-on-one session with your professor and portfolio guidance from an admissions counselor. A tentative schedule is attached.

You will have the amazing opportunity to interact with these industry experts and gain insights into careers in the entertainment art industries. The week will culminate with individual reviews with your instructor and feedback from an admissions counselor.
