SEWING 

Beginning and intermediate sewers can bring their own sewing machine and create a garment.  Learn how to select fabrics, lay out and cut a pattern, and sew your garment. During this process you will create buttonholes, set-in sleeves and cuffs. Supplies needed for the course are listed below.  Adult classes are open to students ages 16+

List of Required Materials to bring with you on the first day of class:

  • Sewing machine, machine needles and bobbins.
  • Simplicity pattern 1538 - women.  8753 - men.
  • 3 yards fabric, 1/2 yard interfacing.
  • Thread.
  • Tape measure.
  • Straight pins.
  • Scissors.
  • Seam ripper.
  • Ruler or seam gauge.
